Twenty social impact organisations will participate in the October Turn.io Chat for Impact Accelerator taking place virtually this week from 6-8 October 2020.
The organisations taking part in the upcoming accelerator are located in Nigeria, India, the UK, Uganda, Switzerland, the USA and South Africa, among others, underscoring Chat for Impact’s global reach.
Several international organisations, including Amnesty International, the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the International Rescue Committee Middle East & North Africa (MENA), are among the social impact organisations represented this time around. Created and facilitated by Turn.io, participants in the October Accelerator are:
International Rescue Committee (IRC) MENA
“Turn.io was created as a way of helping organisations manage and automate conversations to improve lives,” says Neelke Stadler, head of training at Turn.io. “With each cohort that takes part in our Chat for Impact Accelerator we help fulfil this objective – and it is wonderful to work with such a diversity of social impact organisations around the world.”
The Accelerator’s three to four-day programme has been designed to enable social impact organisations to set up and make use of secure chat platforms using Turn.io. Participants are taken through a step-by-step programme including an overview of the Turn.io product and its tools and capabilities; successful impact use-cases; WhatsApp policies and guidelines; and how to design, launch and implement a chat solution on the WhatsApp Business API.
The October Chat for Impact Accelerator is the third in a virtual series implemented by Turn.io. Three in-person Accelerator events were held in Kenya, India and London early in 2020, with the first virtual Accelerator being an Agri-Fin specific accelerator in partnership with Mercy Corps Agrifin and the second held in August with support from the Mulago Foundation.
