The Turn.io team will be presenting a session at the upcoming 2022 Global Digital Development Forum, which will take place online on May 4th and 5th.
The session will see Lieze Langford (Global Partnerships Lead), Indrani Vedula (Impact Partnerships Lead APAC), Carola Pareja (Impact Partnerships Lead LATAM) and Khanya Mdlungu (Impact Partnerships Lead EMEA) lead a workshop on How to use Chat for Impact to change people’s lives.
The 2022 Global Digital Development Forum is free to attend and will focus on three key areas of digital development: Locally-Led Development, Climate Change, and Emerging Technologies. The event will explore transformative questions, hold industry-defining discussions, host new voices and bring forth creative ideas for each of these three areas.
Turn.io’s 60-minute workshop is aimed at helping social impact organisations wanting to use a private and secure chat service on WhatsApp to impact and improve the lives of their communities through meaningful conversations, supportive services and access to resources at scale. It will provide hands-on support to fast-track the development and launch of chat services for social impact organisations working across a variety of critical development sectors including crisis response, health, education, social justice, gender equality and agriculture.
Workshop participants will be offered guidance, inspiration and first-hand learning from the highly experienced teams behind some of the world’s most effective WhatsApp services.
The 2022 Global Digital Development Forum is organised by USAID, Chemonics, Deloitte, TechChange, DAI, Palladium, CARE, and Digital Impact Alliance. It was inspired by the ICTworks post - Coronavirus Canceled Your Conference – Let’s Organize a Virtual Event - which led to a vibrant discussion on the development of a virtual ICT4D conference.
