Turn.io in partnership with WhatsApp will be hosting an online Crisis Response Bootcamp on April 12th to support organisations interested in using the WhatsApp Business Platform to amplify the impact of their humanitarian response through chat during times of crisis. The bootcamp is open to government entities, INGOs, non-profit organisations and social enterprises.
The Crisis Response Bootcamp will help organisations get started on the WhatsApp Business Platform and guide them through the process of setting up a WhatsApp line for Crisis Response. The bootcamp will also share key learnings from existing Humanitarian or Crisis Response services as well as best practice in content management, security & privacy measures. Participating organisations will receive access to a free Turn.io licence for 3 months, including onboarding support and training.
The Crisis Response Bootcamp is part of the broader Chat For Impact initiative by Turn.io to support and accelerate the work that social impact organisations are doing to provide vulnerable, disempowered and minority communities with easy and secure access to vital information and support via WhatsApp. Chat for Impact includes monthly events and ongoing engagement activities with the over 900 Chat for Impact community and forum members.
The 90 minute Chat for Impact Crisis Response Bootcamp will be hosted via Zoom on April 12th at 8 AM PDT/ 11 AM EDT/4 PM GMT
