The latest in the ongoing Chat for Impact Bootcamp series is focused on the crucial global issues of sustainability and the climate emergency.
Taking place on June 9th 2022, the online Chat for Impact Sustainability and Climate Bootcamp is aimed at NPOs, NGOS, charities and social enterprises that are working in specific sectors relating to climate and sustainability across the world.
These sectors include energy usage and literacy; climate, sustainability and environmental education; renewable energy incentives; sustainable agriculture and campaigns/pledges to reduce Co2 emissions. Organisations working for the reduction of hunger and social inequalities; improvement of living and working conditions and the prevention of climate breakdown, pollution and deforestation are also welcome - as are those working in natural disaster preparedness and response; resilience measures (like home hardening against climate change events such as fires, floods and hurricanes), and nature and water conservation.
The Bootcamp is of particular interest to organisations working in SDG1 (No Poverty), SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 12 (Sustainable Consumption and Production), SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 14 (Life Below Water) and SDG 5 (Life on Land).
The free 90-minute Bootcamp is hosted by Turn.io in partnership with WhatsApp and is aimed at amplifying the work of participating organisations.
Turn.io’s experienced team will take participants through getting started on the Turn.io and WhatsApp Business platforms and set up a WhatsApp line for sustainability and climate services. Alongside providing participants with best practices of content management and insight into security and privacy measures, the Bootcamp additionally provides an understanding of the key product features when using Turn.io’s platform for WhatsApp chat services and access to all the tools and resources to launch an impactful service on the WhatsApp Business Platform. As has become a signature of Chat for Impact events, insights from already established use cases will also be shared.
Importantly, as part of supporting organisations working in sustainability and preventing climate breakdown, participants in the Chat for Impact Sustainability and Climate Bootcamp will receive access to a free Turn.io licence for three months as well as onboarding support and training. Participating organisations will also be able to access conversational pricing waivers for 1000 messages per day from WhatsApp and connect with, and learn from, like-minded organisations as part of the Chat for Impact Community
Chat for Impact was initiated by Turn.io, a Social Impact WhatsApp Business Solution Provider, to support and accelerate the work that social impact organisations are doing to provide vulnerable, disempowered and minority communities with easy and secure access to vital information and assistance via WhatsApp. The initiative includes monthly events and knowledge sharing as well as ongoing engagement activities with the 900+ Chat for Impact community and forum members.
The Chat for Impact Sustainability & Climate Bootcamp is the latest in this year’s Chat for Impact Bootcamp series which has included May’s Chat for Impact Health Bootcamp and April’s Crisis Response Bootcamp.
