Applications are now open for Turn.io’s third virtual Chat for Impact Accelerator taking place from 6-8 October 2020.
Social impact organisations wanting to learn how to design and implement chat solutions are invited to apply for the virtual programme. The three day accelerator is open to organisations from anywhere in the world, working in any field of impact.
The upcoming Accelerator follows the successful August edition which was supported by Mulago Foundation and featured Kevin Starr, Managing Director of Mulago Foundation, sharing his insights on impact. Out of the one hundred applications received for the August Accelerator, 40 people from 23 organisations were chosen to participate.
A guest speaker will also be part of October’s intensive bootcamp which has been designed to enable social impact organisations to set up, and make use of, secure chat platforms using Turn.io. Accelerator participants are taken through a step-by-step programme including an overview of the Turn.io product and its tools and capabilities; successful impact use-cases; WhatsApp policies and guidelines; and how to design, launch and implement a chat solution on the WhatsApp Business API.
In response to feedback from participants, Turn.io’s Chat for Impact Accelerators are open to organisations from any sector or country. “The feedback from participants is that the ability to engage and learn from different organisations, working in different sectors and with different audiences, is invaluable to their own process,” says Neelke Stadler, Head of Data Science and Learning at Turn.io.
The October Chat for Impact Accelerator is the third in a virtual series implemented by Turn.io. Three in-person Accelerator events were held in Kenya, India and London early in 2020, with the first virtual Accelerator being an Agri-Fin specific accelerator in partnership with Mercy Corps Agrifin .
Application for the October Chat for Impact Accelerator is via the Accelerator tab on the Turn.io website
