An online bootcamp this July aims to engage and support social impact organisations working in Indonesia to scale their impact using chat.
The Chat for Impact Regional Bootcamp: Indonesia takes place on July 20th (1:00 PM Jakarta Time / 8 AM SA / 11:30 AM IST) and invites INGOs, non-profit organisations and social enterprises working across all impact sectors, such as Education, Health, Crisis Response, Climate and Sustainability, Humanitarian Response and more. It will be hosted in English with live interpretation available in Bahasa.
The 90-minute Bootcamp is led by Turn.io in partnership with WhatsApp and is part of an ongoing Chat for Impact Bootcamp series that has recently included a Sustainability and Climate Bootcamp, a Health Bootcamp and a Crisis Response Bootcamp.
The Chat for Impact Regional Bootcamp: Indonesia has been developed to engage and support organisations located in Indonesia that are interested in using the WhatsApp Business Platform to amplify their impact. It will include presentations by representatives of two organisations currently using a chat service on WhatsApp - Maritta Rastuti, Director of Communications for the 1000 Days Fund and Utami A Herawati, Program Manager for West Region at Prestasi Junior Indonesia.
The Bootcamp will start with an understanding of the WhatsApp ecosystem, including the Business Platform that has been designed for medium and large organisations that want to communicate with thousands of users simultaneously.
The programme also includes:
- Learning how to set up a WhatsApp line for social impact organisations
- Learning best practices of content management, launch plan considerations, engagement tips, among other topics
- Hearing from current Turn.io clients on key learnings in setting up a WhatsApp chat service
- Understanding key product features
- Gaining access to an offer worth USD 2500, including a free Turn.io license for three months, onboarding support and training
Through its collaboration with WhatsApp, Turn.io is currently working with more than 150 organisations in 30 countries, including the global COVID-19 helpline for the World Health Organization and the recently launched United Nations’ ActNow chat service which is part of the campaign for individual action on climate change and sustainability.
